CAHMA now has a Peer Treatment Support Worker available at the Wagga Wagga Recovery Hub to help with all of your alcohol and other drug treatment needs! Our dedicated PTS worker works alongside case managers from the Salvation Army to support people to get their alcohol and other drug use under control or to quit using entirely. No matter what your treatment goals are the Wagga Wagga Recovery Hub is a great place to get support and enhance your health and wellbeing. A mental health worker (Stride Mental Health), Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander worker (Riverina Medical and Dental) and domestic and family violence worker (St Vincent De Paul) are also available. PTS workers are here to provide:
Carefully planning out your priorities for the next 3-6 months with a case manager
Assistance in working out what your treatment goals are and what services are available to help.
Help lining up withdrawal and rehabilitation services in a timely manner.
To friendly services which can help with a range of your social and health needs.
We can attend appointments with you to ensure that you get the best outcome and treatment choice.
In person or via phone, to help track your health and wellbeing journey.
If you are having difficulty navigating the healthcare system, we advocate for you in appointments with service providers.
With no appointments necessary, drop in for a chat with any one of our case managers and receive immediate support.
Lila stands at the ready to support the Wagga community with their health and wellbeing. Employing her lived experience and extensive training from CAHMA, Lila champions a harm reduction approach for people who use drugs and drug treatment services.
